2014 THEMED WEEKENDS

July 5 & 6: Family Weekend

Join us in the excitement of opening weekend when Warwickshire is filled with the joy and laughter of all who attend.

Opening weekend ticket special ~ buy one regular priced adult ticket and get either one adult ticket for 1/2 price OR one free child's ticket (ages 5-12). Offer available at gate upon arrival.

July 12 &13: Wine, Chocolate & Romance Rendezvous

Looking for a summer pleasure fest? Find it at our Wine, Chocolate & Romance Rendezvous, a weekend for lovers.  Singles are encouraged to pick up a $1 Romance Rune Stone at the gate.  On it is a word or symbol of fated love. Find another with the same symbol and go to any pub for a free round of adult beverages.  The rest is up to you! Already have a love?  Attend our Renewal of Vows Ceremony at the Chapel. Taste special wines and meads at our pubs or tasting booth.  See our Grape Stomping Competition at the Market Cross Stage where you can be crowned this season’s Lord and Lady of Wine.

July 19 & 20: Ale Fest

Come celebrate the oldest beverage in human history!  With a vast selection of imported and domestic brews on tap, there's no reason not to join the day's festivities and sample our fine selection of ales and beers.  Tastings will be available at all festival pubs. Buy a commemorative festival mug and experience the Faire "one handed".  Attend a rollicking "Pub Crawl" with festival characters to festival pubs and take part in the madcap antics, contests and songs with all your favorite characters.  They'll be sober, but you'll be merry!  Drink and drive responsibly.

July 26 & 27: Pirate Invasion

Yarr! Those pirates are back again, and are set to invade the 38th Annual Sterling Renaissance Festival’s 2014 season on a special piratical weekend, July 26 & 27.  Pirates are invading the Shire with swashbuckling adventure, comedy and song.  Join our Pirate Costume Competition for kids and adults.  Raise a glass of grog in the Snickleway pubs Tavern’s Pirate Revel.  Pirate bands will rove, shanties will be sung, and very little honest work shall be done.  Have a care, lest you be captured for ransom or pressed into service on a pirate cruise.  Don’t be lured into the wanton path of wild abandon, drink and song, and hang on to your mate lest they be sold at a pirate auction.  So you say ye a pirate? Well then shout ye loudest pirate "Yarr!"...see you at the festival!

August 2 & 3: Highland Fling

Thrill to the lilt of highland bagpipes in the hills.  Wear your kilt and celebrate the mighty Scots with us at the 38th Annual Sterling Renaissance Festival’s 2014 season on a special Highland Fling, August 2 & 3.  Hear Scottish pipe bands play on stages and in the lanes, see highland dancing, and watch our Scottish athletes compete in a Caber Toss and Stone Put competition and demonstration. Share the music of the Highlands at pub sings, and hear Celtic jams on stages and in the lanes that are sure to put a wind up your kilt.

August 9 & 10: Fantasy Weekend

Follow your fantasy to the 38th Annual Sterling Renaissance Festival’s 2014 season, as they present a special event as part of their seven weekends of merriment. Fantasy weekend takes place on August 9 & 10. Come celebrate all things Fantastical as the town of Warwick pays tribute to the myths and legends of Old England.  Sprites, Fairies, Witches, and Robin Goodfellow himself will be seen in a masquerade of folkloric characters.  Pull out those outfits that you wouldn’t dare wear anywhere else and join our Favorite Fantasy Costume Contest, or just enjoy being some one else for a while.  Stories, entertainments and pageants will all serve to appease the inhabitants of the unseen world that surrounds the woodlands of Warwickshire.

August 16 & 17: Grande Finale Weekend

While it’s true that all good things must come to an end, all of us at the Festival look at our Grande Finale as a special time for you to experience all the richness, pageantry, and fun that can only be found at the Sterling Renaissance Festival. The mood will certainly be celebratory, as the villagers from 1585 will be relishing (and reliving) all the wonderful memories of an exceptional season while looking forward to 2015! This is the weekend which promises to be one filled with exceptional fun, unbridled hilarity and merriment as it is the last chance for a whole year to enjoy a repast of many unique and varied Festival foods, gather fine, hand-crafted wares from many skilled Artisans and share a toast of your favorite ale to yet another glorious season at the Sterling Renaissance Festival. The Grande Finale…the one you must not miss!
